CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
JUST FOR KIDS ...
Art in the Park
Exercise your creativity, enjoy the outdoors, and have a blast. Classes are
held June and August at the Village Green in Downtown Plainfield -- in the
event of inclement weather, classes will be held at the Plainfield Art Factory.
(Ages 4 to 8) (*Due to Plainfield's Streetscape construction, this class will not
be offered this year.)
Mothers Day/Fathers Day Workshop
Join your child in creating a special gift made by the two of you. Mothers Day
gift is a 4-piece herb garden set; Fathers Day is a fish luminary. Pieces will
be glazed and fired and will be ready for pick up one week later. (All ages.)
KIDS AND ADULT CLASSES ...
Glass Mosaic Workshop
Learn the basic of glass mosaic, including how to cut glass and grout, in order
to create a colorful work of art.
Introduction to Pottery
Learn basic pottery skills in this one-hour class. Students will create an
original clay creation which will be fired and ready for pick up two weeks later.
(Ages 6 and up.)
Introductory Wheel Thrown and Hand-Built Pottery Classes
Create hand-built pieces of pottery using a variety of different methods of
construction in this 3-session class. Techniques include wheel thrown, coil,
slab, and slump mold construction. Students will then have the opportunity to
glaze their pieces; the Plainfield Art Factory will fire them. (Ages 10 and up.)
ADULT ONLY CLASSES ...
Wine & Cheese and Pottery
Join us for our popular Wine & Cheese nights in conjunction with Wine and
Cheese by TCC. Sample a variety of wines at Wine & Cheese by TCC and
enjoy a 15% discount on your purchase that evening. Then head down to the
Plainfield Art Factory and choose one of our many selections to paint while
enjoying your wine and tasting a variety of cheeses specially prepared for
you. (Ages 21 and up.)
